My Thoughts/Opinion

I held off reading this when it first came out because it seemed like the buzz around it was that it was a disappointment after Butcher & Blackbird, which I read about a year ago. I devoured this audiobook in two days. Pros: Lachlan's Irish accent in the audio. Lark's badass dying Aunt Ethyl, the hate to love arc between our hero and heroine. I actually loved that Lachlan was the first to fall. Cons: The super annoying laugh tracs in the audio. The lack of red herrings. I wish the suspense/danger subplot had been more developed. Overall, still a great read/listen. So much so that I jumped immediately to book 3 in this trilogy!
